I went to that spot that I posted about in the Research section. Second coin I dug was this 1904 Liberty Head nickel, aka, "V" nickel. A little later I found this dateless buffalo. One of my goals for this year has now been met! I found three wheats and sixteen cents in clad as well. I also found two rings, posted those in the Stories and Pictures of Finds section.

Good going, OD! My guess is that there are more where these came from, though I'm sure you're way ahead on this thought.

Thanks Okie for sharing your finds with us. Even though I can't get out it sure helps keep my hopes high while I do my research this winter.

I love that V-Nickel. I found 3 or 4 of those last year. My goal this year is to find an 1800's Liberty V.

Ha, I wish it was in better shape. It looks like someone superglued it to the bottom of their boot and went dancing. The back side looks even worse. Still happy I found it though :D I with you Keith, I want to find an 1800's V nickel as well.
