Decorative Copper Piece

Wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what this might be. Dug it last weekend and cant find any info on it. Its about 4" long and appears that there was something on the end of it, as it appears to be broken off. It is copper.

Looks like a giant zipper pull. :lol:

It could have been silver plated at one time, as copper is often silver plated to make cheaper silverware than solid silverware.

Another vote for mirror (or the brush that matched) and likely a porcelain backed one for it to be broken the way that it is. Note the very similar shape along the top of this one:
