button rusted/CZ21

The button that locks the rod in place rusted and of course broke, as I was about to hunt.

Anyone know if there are replacements available or a decent fix?

The spring clip? Drill straight threw and use a nut and bolt. Or buy a new spring clip for a few bucks. Butterfly m6 nylon nut and bolt.

Yep that one. Never figured it would be made of a material that rusted when nothing else does.

Buy a new one from where?

You can find them all over E-Bay. They are easy to replace.

You would have to cut off one of the pegs on those.

A vinyl bolt and nut will be best. Lowes has them in their "specialty" bolt/ nut drawers. Just ask someone in that section.

Never seen that before. Going to check it out. I've switched most of my bolts to 304 already anyway

When i changed my upper shaft to carbon fiber I had to go to the bolts so i use the vinyl with a vinyl wing nut. So much easier. If you google clearwater composite you can buy an upper carbon fiber rod for like $42 or $48 and get rid of that flimsy shaft feeling ftom tge factory shaft.

Ordered a couple replacements from ebay but will keep the plastic/vinyl bolt and nut in mind. Have one that will work using it as a coil bolt.

Until then I found a bolt that I was able to screw in well enough to hunt.
