Howdy from a newbie in Dallas,Tx. Been reading so much good information I had to join. My grandad lost his wedding ring and I tried to find it with my old Brinkman Sensor 5000 (dont laugh too hard it does work...kinda lol) but I didnt have any luck. I vowed that I would get a better detector and return to find the ring. I now have an E-Trac comin my way from Bigboyshobbies and after I get the hang of it, I WILL find that ring. Thanks for all the great info and I hope to contribute some of my own one day.

What area of Dallas are you in? I have in-laws in Rockwall so I make it up that way a few times a year.
 
Im in the vicinity of SMU University. My wife and I have good friends in Rockwall and get out that way quite a bit. The wifes family is in League City, so we get down your direction alot as well. Im planning on hitting the beach one day while on a trip that way.
