So back at it again today with a buddy, this time on his stomping grounds. Way different digging than i'm used to. It was out in a field with easy swinging and very few targets, as opposed to beating brush at cellar hole listening to my detector invent a new language I swear its trying to teach me.
The place had great history and apparently coins have been pulled out since the 70's by the handful. So its been said to be beat to death and be hunted out, but we all know what that means. Means jack all. I only dug 5 or 6 times in 3 hours, as opposed to my normal few dozen or so. None of them were worth digging or remotely solid tones, but sometimes you just gotta sink that shovel to keep you sane. Then this tone popped up, only real diggable tone I got. About 11 or so inches down perfectly on edge hinge side up this cute little guy pops up. Haven't been able to open it yet, but it has to be 1800s and it's solid silver! My silver bug has it's appetite quenched at the moment. Thanks for checking it out!
