Two Ringed Bullets

We dug the two (apparent) bullets from a small artificial beach near Millinocket, ME. It appeared the sand had been taken from a sandbank used for target shooting, because it had very numerous smaller fired bullets, much smaller than these.

Please tell me whether these are, in fact, bullets. I do not see online any bullets like these, with rings of diameter greater than the diameter of the "points," which are flat. If they are not bullets, what must they be. If they ae bullets, please advise me about their likely identity. As you can see, one has three rings, whereas the other has two. They both are about 5/8" length and 7/16" diameter.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Dsm_mechva,

Thanks! Pitiful finds, in the end. Eh bien, I was only out to familiarize myself with a new detector, anyway, and finding a hairpin at about 10" satisfied me with the Minelab Excalibur II's abilities.
