So yesterday evening my son and I decided to go hit the soccer field and the edges of the basketball court in the neighborhood. Every time we got ready to go, it started raining. Soooo...finally there was a gap in the rain and we dashed down the street.
After a lil over an hour, we had to call it quits because it started raining again but we did walk away with a decent haul. The third target we hit was a strong 25 signal and when we dug the plug, out it popped a ring! At first we were both like, SCORE!! It looked like either white gold or silver but after cleaning the roots and gunk out of it, it turned out to be a Stainless Steel “Spikes” chain ring. Still kinda cool, the black chain in the middle actually spins around the ring.
We added to our clad total for the year with $2.56 including 2 Canadian Nickels, the oldest of the coins is a 1962 Canadian Nickel.
Overall it was a good time dirt fishing with my 15 year old son. It sure beats the heck out of him sitting on his butt playing video games.
HH!!
