I dug this at an 1800's farmhouse near the edge of the driveway. it was only about 4" in the gravel. It says John Wyeth & Bro Philada Pat Oct 5 1886. It is a aluminum inhaler, a piece of cotton with some "medicine" would be placed inside to be inhaled. I wasn't able to find anything with the date "1886" online, the link below was all I could come up with. When I pulled it out of the dirt I thought it was a CO2 cartridge for a pellet gun, after cleaning it up I new I had found something pretty cool! Thanks for looking. HH
