Not the biggest or of any value but i found it local which is very hard to do and it adds to my local history.
It's a King Edward the 1st from the end of the 11th century.

Here is my favorite coin from last year!

MORGAN1881.jpg

1881 Morgan Dollar found about 8 inches deep in Kansas. A hunt I will always remember!

My favorite coin of 2016 was a bucketlister. I pulled a completely toasted 1876 Shield Nickel from a "hunted out" local park. Second keeper I found with the Deus after I got it.

My fav digs

Well, you guys have set the bar pretty high with these finds....
but anyway ......I can't pick just one coin, so I'm gonna call it a three way tie for my favorite digs in 16.
The Canadian gets in because it apparently is an extreme low mintage year (150,000)

You say "no value"
A hammered silver coin from the 11th century has no value?

Yes it's got little monetary value, but lots of historic value to myself.

Here's another real pretty one from earlier last year, again worth little value, but it means lots to my as it was the first hammered coin my daughter and i dug together, and it gave her the bug, now she's out hunting with me regularly.
