Anybody have an idea what this is, it's heavy, brass? I don't know. It is stamped with 11 on one side and resembles a super thick razor blade as one side has a beveled edge. Any help is appreciated.

It looks a little like a part of an old wood plane ... not the blade, but part of the brace that grips the blade. About the right size, judging from the pen. Is it thinner on one edge?
