Forgive me if a thread has been done on this already, but I love military plates. They are my favorite thing to find and I have been fortunate enough to have found four of them in my five years of detecting adventures. I would love to see all of the military plates everyone on here has found on one thread. Have at it! Here's mine.

Kewl thread. I love seeing these posted! I second the motion for a bigger pic of the OVM (edit: just read that you don't have it anymore. Awesome find though!)

I dunno if the epaulette pan or the carbine sling buckle count as "plates". But I like em, so I posted em. If the consensus is they don't count, I'll take them down, LOL

Two pics of my one and only. One fresh out of the ground showing the ginormous hole it came from. And the second after it was cleaned but unfortunately still rather fried. Was still a joy to see that eagle.

Sweet stuff guys, keep them coming. I know lots of good ones have been found on this forum. And, Gtoast, you're epaulette and carbine sling can stay since they are in the company of a nice plate. :) What's the history on that plate anyway? I've never seen one of those before.

Three States

Here are three of my better ones. I've dug over a hundred or so.....I'll post up more if ya'll want.

OK, I'll weigh in. Found this last summer. It's an Anson Mills 45-70 cartige belt utiltiy buckle popular in the Indian and Spanish American Wars. First produced 1887. HH to all. C9
