OK, I was doing some air test last night on my new F5. It did fine with everything, except when I scanned a padlock, the screen flashed, and just showed lines, instead of a reading?? Is this normal, or is this unit defective?
Also, can someone point me to the idiot's guide to understanding your detector book? The F5 manual is brief to say he least. I am thinking I will be pracicing a lot this weekend, just to figure it out. I may have gotten too advanced for my first machine?? I don't understand threshold and gain??
