who has rubber buttons?

Buttons. Who has hard rubber buttons they have found? i found a few and only two are Goodyears and one dated 1831.they are preety hard to find gotta keep a sharpe eye to find these.

1831 or 1851?

When I was conservator of the Maple Leaf shipwreck excavation, we found many rubber buttons with a Goodyear patent date of 1851 on them. I think if you look closer, the date will be 1851 -when Goodyear patented Vulcanized rubber. That button certainly looks Civil War era.

Yea your right on the date. i rezied it and looked close and it is a 5. but yea i have found civil war buttons in the same spot

who has rubber buttons?
