My buddy discovers I'm into metal detecting and tells me his dad's wife had lost a $10,000 diamond ring in their yard seven years ago. So I meet up with them at their house and he told me she was playing fetch with the dog in the back yard and it flew off of her finger. They said that someone had brought out a metal detector before without any luck. So I start detecting and was finding nothing but pull tabs and trash. After about an hour I was nearing the end of where we thought it could be and I was getting discouraged and about to call it quits and then boom I get a solid 47-48 hit on the AT Pro. I carefully dug and there it was. The owners were thrilled and couldn't stop thanking me for finding it. It felt great. And they gave me permission to search another property of theirs that has some buildings from the early 1900s. All in all a great day.
