I cannot make out the letter past A.W. Can you tell what it is? I did find this. Since it was located in Florida, it might be the same one. Just a guess at this point though.

Here is an Edgewood Hotel in White Springs, FL

I make out a "B" for Baley. Look at the curve on the bottom right of the "B" and it seems to form just like it would the letter B.

okay, I suck... I think it is an "R" as well. ALTHOUGH I still see a curve on the bottom right going in back towards the letter, but a search on the web reveals "Raley" as a VERY old family name coming from Britain. HH \_

Two of my favorite finds are tags from the Hotel Carey in Wichita, Kansas.
Now called the Eaton, it is probably the oldest hotel in this area.
I found these tags over twenty years apart and I don't know of anyone else that has ever found one. I believer one is a room key tag while the other on the left might be for a laundry bag.

Yo Doug - I this the White Springs FL may be the answer. There were several resort hotels located there around the century turn one of which was the Edgewood.
I thought it might be associated with the city of Edgewood which is closer where we found the item and am checking that further. Will let you know if I turn up anything.
