DFX or MXT?

I've got a shot at a barely used DFX for $500, but some of my buds are suggesting that I hold out for an MXT. Their complaint about the DFX is its supposed lack of depth. I had an XLT for a few years, and liked it just fine, so the learning curve won't be bad for either machine. I'm in N. Florida, so mineralization isn't an issue either. Does the MXT have a backlight or customizable programs like the DFX? TIA!

No it doesn't...not the same animal.

Yes, the MXT is a little deeper in some circumstances, but not much.

If you don't want the DFX for $500, PM me...I'll take it off your hands.

At that price, I would get the DFX and an MXT! Different tools of the trade. They will work together as a team very nicely.

That's a no brainer in my book! Awesome deal for a barely used DFX... they're built like a tank! I paid $600 for mine and haven't regretted it a single day since I bought it!

Buy that DFX as fast as you can for $500, great deal. You'll always get your money back plus more if you decide to sell it. :yes:
