Went and cleaned up a playground Thursday afternoon and found a nice little silver for my collection. Got a phone call the same day asking me to help a Marine who lost her wedding ring earlier in the month at a funeral she was on the detail for. Set the search for Saturday AM and (with the permission of the cemetery in hand) began to search the areas she thought she might have lost it. Grid pattern searched both areas she had practiced with the team, as well as were her transport was parked to no avail. We then we to the gravesite and I asked a few questions to determine where she was in the service. She indicated she folded the flag, placing her at the end of the casket. I moved to the location she had been standing, and turned to the left and rearward ... a few seconds later I see a glimmer of light and ..... jackpot ... the ring is found.
Below are the ring and the very happy L Cpl Hudson ... and a big ol' digger.
