Minelab Equinox blue tooth test (underwater)

Maybe some day the technology will exist. I really do not mind the cord. What I mind is the price of another pair of headphones. I spent 500.00 on a barely used 600. A good deal. For bluetooth headphones, waterproof headphones, and a 6 inch coil.....another 500.00. It adds up quickly. I wish the gold added up that fast.

This shouldn't be surprising to anyone -- Bluetooth simply doesn't work underwater.

Correct since BT runs at 2400MHz.
It is the Carrier Frequency that is important for underwater propagation.
If you could find a TX/RX for audio that runs at a much lower frequency, below 1MHz then this would work.

Maybe the MD manufacturer should be researching this as a method for wireless underwater headphones.

Yes, I was using little BT earbuds and was searching underwater in Clearwater, FL with the Nox. Does not work when the head unit is submerged.

Will work in waist-deep water with the main head unit above water.

Outside of that, you'll need a corded headset to work with the unit submerged.
