Well, I spent 3 or 4 hours hunting a few parks today.......
My best deep signal of the day turned out to be a tiny tiny ring, probably a size 3.....wasn't sure why it was giving me a 12-45, then I rescanned the hole and pulled out a merc !!! Then inches from that hole I got a penny signal and had a feeling there could be another ring there.....There was a tiny wire ring, and oddly , when I waved it over the coil it never made a sound.....It was cold and raining so I didn't put any more effort in that hole.....but now that I think about it, I wonder if this ring is stainless wire and I might have left something else behind:roll:
Anyway....another odd thing was that I finally after almost two months into the year finally got a wheat!
Nice that theres still a few stragglers left out there for me......I really haven't
been in the mood to go ask for permissions....still trying to shake off my pneumonia.

Damn fine hunt, congrats on the silver. That ring is pretty sweet. For me I have been able to find wheaties and even an IH but can't seem to get my coil over any silver. I hope your feeling better soon. By the way, did you ever go back and dig that silver you marked in the frozen ground? HH Mark
