That machine was the first serious machine I owned. Got it in 1991 I think. It did the job for me. Found numerous old coins with it including a dime at 8" easy. Have fun!

Not my first, had a very inexpensive one as a kid, otasco brand, not sure who made it but found a bunch of stuff w/it. Also way later on had a pretty nice Fisher used at the beach in old orchard beach maine, found rings and coins, but haven't had one for about 15 yrs. And it's official winter is here in s.w.mo. 10' tonight.
