Thanks. I wasn't expecting the very, very dark patina but I'll take it.
I love that patina color on a buffalo.... it's a beauty! Nice find.

I like to use the steel wool pencil on Buffalo and v nickels just to bring out the highlights

I'm now quite certain that was a 'beginners luck' moment with the clean up on the nickel but at least I know it's possible.
Too Pointer...I bet there are some old logging camps in your area that would produce some nice finds. I only saw Big Foot once, and that was after a few evening beers at the campfire.

That turned out great. I use the pencils too but my results are usually not that impressive. Looks awesome.
