I had several left over from a different project. The interesting thing I learned on this project is the A23 size battery is about the size of a jelly bean and puts out 12 volts. The wiring, battery holder, switch all fit into the hollow plastic handle of the scoop.

Theoretically, I think you COULD use a nearly identical set up on a digging tool or a shovel…

Mounted at an angle on the shaft of a shovel so it shines down on what you’re digging up…

Well, I’m heading back into the shop for a while.
