Need an ID and age on a bottle. I found this where there should not be any. Right behind my house while repairing a winter mud slides. My house is new, never been a house here. It's half mile from a road, up on a steep hill. No reason for anyone to have ever been here. Maybe a logger, late 1800s.

Very thick glass. Looks like nail polish bottle but never seen a logger using nail polish...

Anyone have an ID on the mfg from the single O on the bottom?? I don't normally do anything with bottles and have no reference mtl. No luck on internet search so far.

Sage, I also couldn't find any reference to a single "O" that looked like that.

That bottle looks to me from its' features to be 1930s-50s. Screwtops didn't come in until the 20s mostly (there were crude exceptions).

I do agree it could be nail polish or similar, if it has a smallish hole on top, where the brush applicator entered through. Hair oil also had a small opening on top, but I don't think that's what your bottle is (unless it's a sample size).

The recessed bottom is unusual and makes me think this is foreign.

Not a small hole. I was also thinking maybe an eye dropper.

The sides have a very slight indentation. Bottom is at least 3/8 inch thick and it is rounded. All of the glass is thick. Very heavy bottle. No color and I'm certain it was deeply buried.

Thanks for the help.

10-4 I wish I could add more.
