That's a very cool one for sure. I've only seen one of those before. I knew a guy that was into collecting insulators. He told me that type was called the mickey mouse insulator because of the ears. I'd check it out further. Although glass insulators aren't generaly worth anything, there are collectors and that may be the exception.

Not quite. Pictured below is what is commonly called a "Mickey Mouse" insulator.

I have never seen the type that claddy has posted before. Very interesting, though.

Not exactly sure what that is, but I don't think its an insulator...

Very interesting...

It's a great piece! I have quite a few insulators and it really does have that look to it but it seems way too small. I'm stumped. Hopefully someone can pinpoint it.

That is a very unique item! I'm thinking it's an electrical switch. The four ball points would be contact points. The ears are for leverage to turn it. The cool old glass is an insulator/isolator/central pivot axis.
...but that's just the wheels in my head cranking out ideas.

Foragist,
I've asked that twice and for some reason CLADDY doesn't seem to want to do that.
It sure would help in finding an answer.
I'd really like to know.

It’s a jar lid! Did a little googling since I figured a insulator wouldn’t have metal and found this. Cool find. You may wanna dig more and try and find the jar!
