I found these two items the other day at my peace dollar field. They were within a few feet of each other and pinpointer deep. Im not sure if they even belong to each other, but the silver looking disk fits onto the top of the metal base. The base is steel and hollow, while the disk does not stick to a magnet. I think both items are early 1900s since we have found many items from that period here.

I think the silver looking piece is the lid for a pocket watch, and is unrelated to the other piece.

I'd carefully dig the rusty part out of the other piece, just to see what's under it.
