Looking to upgrade and thinking about a Nox 600. I’ve some newbie questions...

I’ve heard about several people buying replacement shafts. Should I plan on this in my upgrade?

I know it loves deep silver, does it do well at clad 2-6 inches deep?

Thanks for your patience with these questions!

I have an 800. (The differences are inside the control box.)

Shaft. I can see how somebody hunting in the surf/waves would get an upgrade. I've never felt the need to change the shaft. I'm sure most people who have done it will say it's nice.

6" deep clad is no problem.

Thanks for the quick response. Any other “upgrades” or changes to what comes with unit?

Oh yeah... does it balance well for a 4-5 hour hunt?

Thanks again!

Get something to cover the brains from daily use. Yes it's waterproof but you will find out that you will be making alot of adjustments and a cover will take the abuse and not the screen as much.

Thanks DbblTap. Good point. Curious as what size coil you prefer.

I love my 15 inch coil. Please know I am a beach Detector and a big coil covers alot of beach fast. Another thing with that coil, I swing slow and I find that I find more.
