I just got one my self what a great machine!! very simple to use
I run mine in AM if it gets too noisy just (dis -10 ) that will quiet it down
quite a bit

Pick up Andy Sabish's Safari book. It really helps out learning the detector.

Is the Safari fully waterproof?

The coil is waterproof
Just the coil is waterproof the control box is not so you can get in some low water but would not want to drop the unit in water above control box .

Does anyone know where you can get this Andy Sabish's Safari book ? I saw it listed but seems most distributors are out of it is it hard to find or in limited print ?
