I took my Mojave, that I bought yesterday btw, out for the very time. I found allot of aluminum cans, tabs etc. I also got a good feel for small items vs. cans. BUT I also found some coins, a half dollar and....drumroll please...and men's 18k gold ring. Such a good day!

Nice first time out with the Mojave. Half dollars are not a frequent find at all and so you did good.

That’s a nice group of keepers ,you got a good area with a lot of potential.Trust me,who ever lost that ring didn’t do it on purpose,next one will be gold..congrats

We ALL go through that in this hobby. Wait till you get one that comes out shiny still, and then you find that dreaded HGE (Heavy Gold Electroplate).

Still, though, you found a RING! That's freaking awesome. it means you're doing it right, man.
