Was only going out for a ride, but my husband starts stopping at thrift stores. Soooo I do pick ones that had little to no people and I'm in my mask and when entering back in the vehicle hubs has the sanitizer ready. Well I go to one that I sometimes frequent, they usually don't have to much in the jewelry. So I look at a ring and of course I don't have my glasses, run out get them. I turn around and look in the glass case again and I see it. Instantly I KNOW this is gold. How much ? $3.00, sounds good. I run back out to the car and get the money, pay for it, show it to him and he's like OMG that's really nice! Get home acid test sure enough is 14kt but I'm thinking possibly 15 or even 16. NOTE: Every time I take money in with me I never find anything, if I leave it in the car BINGO !!

Beautiful cross! Have you checked along the edges or on the chain loop with a 10X magnifier for a Karat marking? If not on the back and being real gold, it seems it should be stamped somewhere on that piece. Unless it’s old and worn off. Nice going, treasure is where you find it.

Yes I have checked everywhere and no markings. I think when things have cleared up with this virus I am going to take to a jeweler just to make sure....
 
Awesome, congrats!

It's definitely a cross, and definitely not a crucifix..

A crucifix would have Jesus on it, a cross doesn't..
