ADDED PICS** Anyone Recognize This Little Pendant? Maybe Gold?

Do you think this is gold? Someone identified it as a Pi Kappa Alpha pendant. I added cleaned up pics with the marking on the back. I can't make it out. The back and sides have a casing on it. Any information would be appreciated.

It weighs 2 grams.

Just a guess: Looks like some Greek letters (Phi Kappa Alpha) so maybe for a Fraternity of Sorority. The cross may indicate a Catholic college.

Thanks. I hadn't considered that. I think I see a skeleton key and sword crossed behind the shield. Came up with Quartermaster military stuff in my searches. Now i see the little cross. Probably not military.
