I watched the beach king dragging sand at 12:45AM Hunington beach

I was just thinking it was kinda weird at that hour. I usually dodge them at 5-6AM .
Anyways check where they turn for chains and jewelry.

they throw off stuff as they turn?

I usually get to the beach before they get there. I like
my beaches dirty. :grin:
 
Last week I checked out the area where they park their equipment about 1/4 mile north of the pier. I checked that area very closely hoping to find something but I did'nt find a thing.

Yes with the beach king that is the case. If anything heavy like a watch or heavy neclace gets caught on it it will usually shed off of the tun around.
If your wondering if your beach cleaner does this check allong the turn line and see if batteries or other heavy items are present.
Personally I hunt wet sand but if I had a discriminator I would check there.
