Got out for a short hunt today. Hit a local school and found the usual clad. The half dollar I found in the middle of a field as I was heading back to the car. No other signals around so not sure why it was way out there. It may only be 40% silver but 40% is better than none. I love finding those coin spills, 6 quarters in one hole :D. HH all.

Middle of the field Half dollars happen all the time for me. They are typically carried by referees for "flip coins". I even found a Morgan on a field at the 50 yard mark, once. :)

I've never been lucky enough to find a silver Kennedy, but I've found a good 2 dozen clad ones... all in the fields...
