I have the opportunity to buy a IGC graded coin. What's is everybodys opinion of this company ?

# 1 lesson - buy the coin , not the holder.

With that being said , years ago when they started out , they were ok. Not so much anymore. Check the reviews. PCGS and NGC are known as the top 2. Then probably ANACS and maybe IGC.

Thanks for your input. The coin is awesome just not familiar with IGC.

Searching, I found the topic "ICG and ANACS vs. PCGS and NGC", and say someone complain that some of the ICG coins he purchased, when regraded by NGC, came back with the dreaded "details" designation due to the fact that they had been cleaned, and one ICG MS61 came back as NGC XF45.

I couldn't find anything under "IGC", did you mean "ICG"?
