I went to a 1860’s house trying for the second time to get a permission. Dad came out and said he and his son were trying to get the hang of metal detecting. They had a nice detector and had found a big bolt and a big cap gun. I looked at his 11 year old son and said “let’s find you something “. We split up and in less than 5 minutes Greg had a signal. I came over with my ATP and read 80, so we started to dig. Mind you this was the first dig of the evening. Had a hell of a time finding it. Why ? The coin is huge and was off to the side. It’s a miracle we didn’t scratch the hell out of it.

Look what he found !!! Dad was sooo happy for his boy and I’m certain Greg is going to be a detectorist for life. FE0A6790-A62B-45BE-B19F-90B3545FF8F8.jpeg
