So what a day. Had a hunting buddy come pick me up with the idea of finding new ground. As we are driving past a field that gets hunted quite a bit I spot a friend detecting. We park and I walked out and asked if minds if we join him. He was nice and happy to have us. After about half an hour got a trashy signal with I high tone at the end. After I cut my plug it sounded better. When I got it out the hole it sounded really good. After seeing it I knew right away that I had Spanish silver. So stoked cloud nine after that. Turns out to be a 1672 1 reale friends on treasure.net helped me ID it and said the mint mark is worn off but most likely minted in Potosi. I started 2015 1/2/15 with a cut cob and I get to close it out with a second what a year.

Now that's an awesome find! Congrats on the silver!

AWESOME cob man, condition wise it's amazing too! Just thinking about a coin THAT old makes me think bout all the places it had been and who owned it...
