Picked up this cool power source for my Equinox 800. Mounts to the shaft via the arm cuff screw. I had to modify it a little because I have an after market arm cuff. Pretty slick. Will come in handy on long trips out to Ghost Towns or any trip that charging my detector isn't convenient. Supposed to double the available run time before needing charge. The detector pulls from the external source before the internal battery. Hooked up, you just charge the external and it, in turn, charges the internal. Looking forward to trying it out in the spring. Thought some of you might be interested in seeing it.

Picked up this cool power source for my Equinox 800. Mounts to the shaft via the arm cuff screw. I had to modify it a little because I have an after market arm cuff...

What kind of modifications did you need to do? I think I have the same after market cuff, and just wondering how much surgery I'd need to perform if I went the RnB route...

Ive been looking at those for awhile now. Some smaller power banks can be used as well, and can be attached to the detector with zip ties/velcro. Let us know how it works for you!

I carry one in my gear bag, but not this brand. It saved the day one time when I forgot to charge my detector. It's a nice option to have when it's not possible to just pop in some fresh batteries. If I'm hunting all day I'll plug it in just while I'm eating a meal. That gives the detector a boost to finish the day. (Lithium batteries aren't damaged by partial charges.)

The cuff mount bolt is larger than the hole through the external battery. I had to drill it out bigger. Then I realized it didn't provide enough turning clearance to use the wingnut back on. So I put a lockwasher and open nut on the bolt to secure the arm cuff, then slid the battery over the remaining length of bolt and secured it with a cap nut. Hope that makes sense. It sounds more complicated than it was.

Thanks for posting this. I have one of these coming too. I really like how they've mounted it. I always carry a power bank with me now (more for my phone) but this one makes more sense for the detector and saves me from being tethered to it or making my own mount.
