From the Bahamas but there are reports of this happening in other places as this storm advances.
Tsunamis can cause this too.
The problem is when the water comes back it comes back with a vengeance.

This morning there was water in Tampa Bay...right now it is gone.

My wife and I were watching the storm coverage on TV yesterday and they showed one of the reporters standing WAY below the normal low tide mark. The first thing that came to mind was what a great time to go detect.

People walked out there in the north part if the bay when it got sucked dry...nobody had ever seen this happen before.
Not one had a detector that I could see and eventually a curfew forced them all to come back in.
