Well the weather finally warmed up and i decided to take my new E-trac out for a test drive.. I returned to the elementary school were i found a silver Rosie. When i first started i was getting signals from everywhere and the FE number were all in the 30's. I mean this thing would not shut up, and i was getting frustrated as hell:mad:.. I went back through my settings and made sure i selected the factory Coins mode and after that it calmed down. Since i have owned the Safari, I was already accustomed to the tones and began finding coins and getting used to the VDI numbers(sorry I am visual type of guy) and was really liking the feel of this machine. I had been hunting for about an hour digging most tones for Pennies, Dimes and Quarters and then i get a low tone, and thought well lets see what this is, depth showed it was shallow so I pinpointed with my propointer and dig a nice shallow plug and out jumps this beat to hell little gold ring(happy dance commenced) it looked like it was on the loosing end of fight with a lawnmower... I was really stoked and continued on hoping for more. Well no more gold or silver, so i moved on to a park that was around the corner and found a Volleyball court, found a good bit of coins there and a bucket full of pull tabs(my son collects these for school so i don't mind finding them much anymore).. My first impression was really good for the E-trac but I still have alot more reading and studying to do.. Here are the totals for today...Thanks for looking and HH.

16 - Quarters
31 - Dimes
4 - Nickels
108 - Pennies

Total - $8.38

Turned out to be a great day. Congrats on the gold and the clad. That is a heck of a pulltab pile.

Looks like a good hunt to me. Congrats! If the cans were still attached, you'd have about 2 pounds of aluminum to scrap

You did very well.
Looks like a nice ring, just needs a little repair work..
