looks like the July 14 swope park hunt.

dont know if they found anything good. the same guy takes pics at the local concerts and bars and only gets the fuglys. not sure if the good stuff makes the cut.

Yep, Swope park and that was our July meeting.
In summer months we cook-out and meet at different sites all over the area.
You are not supposed to detect in this particular area, but we had permission for that day and I am friends with the guy that got us permission and is friends with the head park ranger so we were also able to go the week before and that's when I found my 2 silvers.

The club did pretty good that day...other members found 5 silver dimes, one found a quarter, and one found a real cool kids belt buckle from the 50's or early 60's.
It wasn't Hopalong Cassidy but something along those lines, I forget which one.
Pot luck lunch, I achieved Grand Master Hunter status for coming in first in five finds categories since I joined in January...good times.

I have heard good and bad about a few clubs across the country in posts.
This is a good one.
