Probably not meant to be taken too seriously, like many YouTube productions. Could have been a parody of one of his friends, who tells some wild fishing stories. Don't we all dream a little about massive treasure finds? How often do people have their camera handy, to record all those special moments? It's a movie, and did a pretty good job, from an artist's perspective, it provoked an emotional response.
