Hi all. Anyone use or have experience with the whites 5900 di pro xl. Thanks

Yes, its an older analog detector. I used one for a while when I first got into the hobby.

It has a large control housing and is fairly heavy compared to today's detectors. Batteries can become expensive since it uses four C cells (I think). It's well built and reliable but not a deep seeker by any means. Most modern entry level detectors will give you similar or better performance with less weight, easier to operate, and cheaper battery options.

I have a 6000 di pro SL with both the 9 inch and 5.3 coils. The di pro series is known to have one of, if not the most accurate analog meter made, which is true. The di pro's are the forerunner analog versions of the XLT but much easier to program and use. Very easy GB procedure.

I fire it up often and enjoy using it. Very accurate meter on silver (if it says Quarter it's almost always a Quarter) and it will go deep. A reliable, quality built and fun ol workhorse.

Heavy?? compared to an Etrac?..No. Compared to a Deus? Yes.:D

And..it's only rumor that the instructions are inscribed petroglyphs:wow:
