Its working great!!! for 6 months is good, then I would entertain myself doing another one or fixing it I am just testing it.

I like the design but if it were me I would have tried to make a sturdier handle and connection and also maybe try a hybrid scoop, I like the idea of the plastic because you can pinpoint in the scoop but digging might be an issue, is there a way to incorporate metal in digging part of the scoop? Just my two cents...

I bought several of those 3 qt plastic feed scoops from tractor supply for 2.99 and drilled holes in them. Pretty sturdy, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up putting a handle on it and trying to dig in the sand around here, still have plenty of rocks. Do you have a video of it in use?

I'd love to see it in action. Hope it works really well for you. Question though, that handle is metal, have you thought about using hard plastic or even wood to keep the MD from picking up on it?

So you had the squeegee left over after it was no good and cut out the base to use to attach it to the feed scoop? If it would stand up to working on windows for awhile it should hold up pretty good for beach scooping! KT likes it and it would be light weight for loading with a Compadre for traveling on a motorcycle!
