Crossed Rifles pin

Found this old pin today at an old school house site. Guessing its WWI do to the age of coins we found the newest was 1936. Can't find a match yet on the sites I have looked at. It is very small 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch or same size of a dime which was also found in the same site.

I couldn't find one like it either, but it's a nice find! Maybe a sweetheart pin or a replica for kids?

Thinking now it may be a tie tac pin due too the size.
