Hi all ..can anyone figure out what the symbol on this gold ring is.. has piece missing maybe where the hallmark was.

I cropped and blew up the design a bit. thought maybe it was stylized letters but looking at the bigger image I guess not.

Yea looks like a zodiac signet type ring, probably 10k. Nice find! I really want to find some old gold soon!

It is indeed letters, just like on love tokens.
Those were very popular in the late 1800's.
It could be a D and a J
