I finally got a chance to really test out my DFX with the 4.5"x7" Excelerator coil at a park for about 30 minutes today. I was pretty much just digging anything I ran across. Sometimes it was very difficult to find exactly what it was I was digging for! I'm using the merc dime in this pic as a size reference. The little piece of iron wire (not a paper clip) was 5" down. That's right, 5" down and it came in loud and clear. The other object was around the same depth and it was very clear too. I'm really impressed with how well the DFX detects small objects with this coil.

Your right OD. I use the 5.3" and it too is very sensitive. Yeah, it takes longer to cover an area, but it sure can be worth the effort. Especially in a trashy area.

WOW, talk about small and 5" down !!!! I would have spent hours trying to find that...........

OD

Now you are all set to own a PI... I've found tiny staples down a foot :D

No thanks Craig, last thing I want to do is dig 12" into this concrete here for staples
