OK, since my old Garrett Master Hunter CX is pretty much beyond repair, I've almost settled on the Garrett Infinium. I'll be using for beach hunting, relic hunting and prospecting in streams and creeks in Nash County. From what I've read online, most owners are very happy with them, but I'd like to get some input from any Infinium owners here before I fork out 1200.00. I might buy a Garrett Ace 250 first and keep that as a back up. Thanks for any input.
 
Call Garrett and see how much it would cost to fix the unit. It would be better to have it fixed rather than buy a new unit. That's what I did with my old unit. Got it back and it works like a new one. Good luck. (:-O)
 
Never owned one but its a PI with a learning curve... its not going to dicriminate out much iron.... if your a relic hunter then its probably a good choice but a PI on land makes me shudder lol...
 
I agree. A PI on land is not the way I would want to hunt. You need discrimination.
