I love hunting the woods in Connecticut, but it gets old fast when you scan the ground and hit a rock that has iron in it every 5 inches, or minerals in the beach sand that send off signals every 5 feet. What would be a good land/beach metal detector to go with?

I just got BH 505, haven't been out in the woods yet but at the beach it works good in the dry sand but goes crazy in the wet sand due to the high minerialization.

Hi, look at Sovereign GT made by Minelab ,it is great on the beach and works fine in the woods as well HH

Right Connecticut Detector ?

Xterra 705 works good in highly mineralized conditions and also works good in all Connecticut areas. Also the Safari, I personally use the Safari all over Connecticut. I hope this helps you narrow down the right detector for you.

Take care

I got BH 505 this summer. In New Hampshire. I bought extra 4" coil for tall grass, bushes, small trees which helps a lot for tight places. I think a lot MD have options for smaller coils. Good for separating finds.
