Got out on the reservoir this morning before the rain and wind kicked up. 1 Tungsten ring. Was hoping for a heavy gold ring, when I heard that sucker clanking around in the scoop. Not this time. Little silver ring and a nice looking 30g 925 chain.

The chain is marked. KA 1772. Anyone heard of that maker?

Nice on the chain! I have sold 4 junk rings this last week. Over 20 in a little over a month. It's all good to me!

That there is a good hunt in my book.

Google “jewelry stamped KA 1772”

R5

KA is Karizia . the Italians have some other word that means INC like sPa or slr if publically traded company, and you will find that on line behgind this name. . the 1772 i think just identifies the actual maker since many makers can make up this one group. the number thing was guesses on research but if you are a company with many producers, or a producer in a country like Italy full of silver manufactorors it could be your assigned number. i have seen the mark on gold also .

great find..

Thanks for the info! I really appreciate that. I had googles it, but the site that seemed to have the best info, required a Facebook login to see the answer.. Oooh Italian silver!

I don't put much into who makes what metal jewelry. Unless it's some high end famous maker that you know will get a higher premium. Otherwise it's all about weight and purity.

Not bad and very nice on that silver chain!
