Here is my "Advice on Detector Purchase". I don't have much experience with other detectors, but I do love my Compadre. After three years of use I can tell you it's a real user friendly machine. My family and I have had many great hours of fun with this little guy.

I'll always have and use one. For long hunts, in trash, they are awesome. I would have it over some units that are $150 more and have displays! Besides, someone trump that lifetime warranty on them. :yes:

I've just got back from having a couple great days with the compadre. Over $3 in clad at two playgrounds. That's pretty good for me....
