As I finally got around to looking more closely at my finds from this past weekend I was surprised to find a silver dime, then another, then 2 more. Then I was shocked to find a silver quarter in the pile- 1954!
In the upper left hand corner of the picture is a silver ring which I do remember scooping up very low on the slope.
I didn't know why the ends were so jagged but my guess is that they used to be the prongs that held the stone that used to be on top of the ring.
In the lower left corner is a thin silver chain and small discs.
I'm pretty sure I found all the silver coins on the last day of my hunt (Sunday) when I was so beat that I cut the hunt short. I may have missed out on a few more but there's always next time! GL&HH!
